एक बुगुर्ज महिला बैंक के कैश काउंटर के सामने लम्बी कतार में लगी हुई थी, बड़ी साधारण सी साड़ी पहने हुए थी, हाथ में पुराना सा थैला था जिसमें उन्होंने सब्जी भरी हुई थी। कैश काउंटर के सामने बड़ी साडी भीड़ थी बैंक में, जैसे कि अक्सर देखने को मिलती है।

जब उसका नंबर आया, कैश काउंटर पर एक लड़की बैठी हुई थी, उस बुगुर्ज महिला ने कहा मुझे मेरे अकाउंट से 500/- रूपया निकालने है मेरी मदद  कीजिये । उस लेडी ने कायदे से देखा भी नहीं ढंग से, और यु जबाब दिया देखिये 500/- रुपये के लिए आपको यहाँ नहीं लाइन में लगना चाहिए, कोई भी अमाउंट अगर 5000/- रुपये से कम का है तो आप को एटीएम उपयोग करना होगा।

बुगुर्ज महिला ने कहा क्यों…  तो वो  थोड्रा चिढते हुये बोली जो केशियर थी, मैडम रूल इज रूल जो नियम है वो है, मैंने आप से कह दिया कि एटीएम का उपयोग कीजिये तो कीजिये, मेरा समय मत बर्बाद कीजिये, और मुझे कृपया अपना काम करने दीजिए, काफी दुर्व्यवहार करते हुए, काफी रूढ होते हुए केशियर ने ये बात कही।

उस बुगुर्ज महिला ने कहा ठीक है, अच्छा अगर 500/- रुपये नहीं दे सकते है तो ऐसा कीजिए कि मेरे अकाउंट में जितना पैसा है मुझे  पूरा दे दीजिये, उस लेडी ने (केशियर) जैसे ही उनका अकाउंट चेक करा तो स्तब्ध रह गए, बोली माफ़ कीजियेगा मैडम, आप के अकाउंट में साढ़े तीन हज़ार करोड़ ..........रुपये है, लेकिन बैंक के पास इस समय इतना पैसा नहीं है, मै आपको इतने पैसे नहीं दे सकती।

क्या कृपया कल का नियोजित समय ले सकती है जब हम ये रुपये व्यवस्था कर सके और आप को रुपये दे सके, तो उस महिला ने कहा ठीक है ओके, तो तुम मुझे ये बताओ कि अभी मुझे कितना कॅश दे सकती हो, उसे कुछ गणना वगैरह किया और बताया कि अभी हम 30 लाख रुपये का कॅश दे सकते है उस से ज्यादा नहीं ।

उसे ने कहा ठीक है 30 लाख ही दे दो, 30 लाख रुपये उनके अकाउंट से निकासी किया, और ससम्मान (क्यों कि पैसे का बहुत मान होता है न) उन्होंने पैसा दे दिया। पता है वो बुगुर्ज महिला ने क्या किया, उस में से खाली 500/- रुपये निकल लिया बाकि केशियर को बोली लो इसे वापस मेरे खाते में जमा कर दो, वो स्तब्ध रह गयी लेकिन कुछ नहीं कह सकती थी, और कुछ नहीं कह पायी, पूरे सम्मान से उस महिला के लिए काम किया ।

कई बार न हम लोग को उनके हाव भाव, चाल चलन बोल चाल कपड़ो से आंक लेते है, ये सोचना भूल जाते है की वो ऐसे एक नहीं ढ़ेरो उदहारण है उन लोगो के, जो सादगी से अपना जीवन बिताना पसंद करते है, जो नहीं पहनते चमकदार कपड़े, जो अपने बहुत सारे काम, जैसे सब्जी लाना खुद किया करते है, लेकिन हो  सकता है अंदर से वो बहुत मजबूत है, और हम और आप कई बार गलती कर जाते है लोगो को आंकने में समझने में उनको भांपने में ।

इसलिए कहते है किसी भी खत को लिफाफे से मत आंकिए, अगर आप अपने अंदर धीरज रखेंगे, न की लोगो को महज एक मुलाकात में या एक नजर में आंकने की गलती नहीं करेंगे ………..
